We went to Crystal Vision and Better Hearing to see what could be done to improve our vision. Our close up vision has been getting worse as we age and neither of us wanted to wear glasses and wanted to know if contacts were a possibility. The staff working the front end were very polite and friendly. They took lots of time with us answering all of our questions. Based on their excellent service and their recommendation that we book an appointment with Dr Birk to get an in depth exam and opinion, we did so. We are very happy that we did. Dr Birk turned out to be GREAT!! He did full exams on us and identified any issues we both had. He explained everything to us in a manner that we both clearly understood. This was very important to us as actually understanding what the issue is, is important. Dr Birk informed us of all the options we had that could improve our vision. Our situation was not straightforward, as not only was our up close vision poor but one of us had significantly poorer vision in one eye than the other. Dr Birk was very upfront and honest with us and explained to us that although he could improve our vision that it would take some time to do so as there could be multiple adjustments in lenses to perfect our issues. Well, over a period of time we visited the clinic and Dr Birk. Each and every time we received EXCELLENT service. Dr Birk never made us feel rushed, he always took the time to address any questions we had. He never made us feel bad about having to try on several different lenses or combinations of lenses. We truly respect and appreciate all of Dr Birk's time, knowledge and skill as in the end all of the time he spent with us and all of the trials of different lenses and combinations paid off. Both of us now have substantially better vision. Improving up close vision sounds simple and can be simple IF a person does not care about losing the quality of their distance vision. Reading glasses are a perfect example of this. Dr Birk used his knowledge, skills and patience with us getting our up close vision substantially better while maintaining our distance vision. We both thank Dr Birk for all of his time, skill, knowledge and help in improving our day to day quality of life. We would also like to thank Amber, Jenna and Melissa for always treating us so exceptionally well when visiting Dr Birk and for always looking after all of the paperwork associated with using our benefits. We HIGHLY recommend Dr Birk and his staff at the Chilliwack Crystal Vision and Hearing to anyone wanting to get EXCELLENT service and results.

Best customer service I’ve ever had. I need to have some hear tests done and medical forms signed. They went above and beyond helping me sort out some issues with paper work etc. I’ve been here for eye tests and glasses as well, will always go back to them. I received excellent service and care from Jenna. She helped me choose glasses (frames and lenses) that were professional yet fun and suited my lifestyle and face shape. I would highly recommend Jenna if you are unsure what type of frame or lens is best for you. All the staff I encountered were friendly and personable from the moment I walked in and were supportive of each other. Great team atmosphere!

I highly recommend Crystal Vision & Better Hearing! I ordered two pairs of glasses, and although they didn’t work out the way I had hoped at first, the staff went above and beyond to make it right. They offered to replace the glasses and ordered new lenses because the original ones didn’t fit properly, all at no extra cost. Their customer service was truly amazing. The team is professional, kind, and genuinely cares about making sure their customers are happy. I couldn’t recommend them more!
