Hearing Aid Repairs

Our Part

At Crystal Vision & Hearing, we provide repairs and service for many hearing instrument problems right in our stores for all makes and models, including Beltone, Starkey, Siemens, Phonak and more. Our products are covered by a 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty, and Lifetime in-store repairs.

We also provide free cleaning. Most people will need to have their hearing instrument cleaned every 3 to 6 months. This varies depending on how much wax is developed by the individual. Very dusty environments may also contribute to the need for more frequent cleaning.

Your Part

Following a simple cleaning and storage routine will extend the life of your new hearing instrument and give you a higher quality of hearing.

A soft tissue or cloth should be used daily to wipe away any buildup of skin oils or ear wax on the outside of your hearing instrument. A small soft brush can be used to clean heavier wax buildup.

Leaving the battery compartment open over night ensures that moisture that may have accumulated during wear dries, as well as confirming that it is turned off.

Any wax building up in the openings of the instrument should be removed by us, your hearing instrument specialist, as using small objects such as needles to clean can result in damage. This is a free service provided by us - please take advantage of it!

Hearing Aid Handling & Storage

Heat, cold, moisture and chemicals are all concerns.

Extreme cold can eventually batteries to slowly lose power. It should, however, be restored once the battery returns to room temperature.

Do not store your hearing instrument near heat sources such as stoves, fireplace mantles or radiators. Do not place it in direct sunlight or leave it in your car. Avoid using hairdryers while wearing it.

Don't use cleaners on it, and avoid things like hairspray while wearing it.

Suanas, swimming pools, showers, regular baths, rain, snow and perspiration are all sources of moisture that can harm your hearing instrument. If your hearing instrument does get wet, open it and allow it to dry thoroughly.

Dropping it can cause damage.

If you have any concerns about any of these situations, please contact us, and we will be happy to answer your questions.
